Video 4x100m Men SEA Games (39.91s Indonesia)

26th SEA Games, Palembang 2011: Men's 4x100m video gets my highest vote in terms of diversity. It was won by Indonesia team in a dead heat finish but the photo-finish said give the gold to Indonesia. First exchange seems perfect for Thailand (Olympic team) and other teams. Unfortunately, Suphachai Chimdee (PBs 10.47, 20.68), torn his hamstring, resulted in a huge deceleration, other teams gained advantage. Singapore took a lead until eventually beaten by Indonesia on the line. Below is the video;

Video 4x400m SEA Games 2011 (Malaysia 3:10.49)

Malaysia's 4x400m quartet wins the men's 4x400m at the 26th SEA Games in Palembang Indonesia. The quartet made up of Subramaniam Kannathasan, Paneerselvam Yuvaaraj, Schzuan Ahmad Rosely, recorded a time of 3:10.49s (season best, SEA leader). The Philippines finished in second with 3:11.16s, while defending champion, Thailand third in 3:14.90s.

Noraseela Khalid 400mh 57.41s SEA Games Champion

Malaysia's Noraseela Mohd Khalid produced a wonderful run to win the women's 400mh at the 26th SEA Games in Palembang. She clocked a time of 57.41s to beat the 2007 champion Wassana Winatho of Thailand (58.97s) in silver medal position. Winatho is on the mission to hunt her 10th gold medal in SEA Games. She currently has nine and is expected to win the Heptathlon tonight. Bronze medal was grabbed by Indonesia's Viera Mellisa Hethrie (59.64s). All winners recorded their season bests.

Seela, 32, whose best time is 56.02s (2006), and already won three editions of SEA Games + medal in Asian championships, previously had to "reduce" her workouts (September) due to an injury. She then spent 6 solid weeks with her coach Hennie Krival at South Africa to prepare for SEA Games, that was after underwent self-training for almost the entire season.

Meanwhile, Vietnam's Dao Xuan Cuong took the gold in men's category after shattering the 10-year-old national record (51.56s - Nguyen Bao Hui) with a 51.45s, beating Thailand's Narongdech Janjai who close in second (51.60s - PB), and Indonesia's Andrian in third place (51.70s PB). Another sub-52 finisher was the Philippines' Junrey Bano who also bettered his personal best to 51.75s.

Lee Hup Wei 2.15m High Jump Gold Medal SEA Games 2011 Palembang

After victories in 2007 and 2009 SEA Games, it seems to be no chance for Lee Hup Wei to repeat and add another gold to his collection. He suffered a severe injury and had to undergo a surgery earlier this year which resulted a long-rest from competition. He has no mark at all during the entire season. However, the authority has made a fine decision to send him in Germany during September-October for training stint and to get better ambient to return the motivation and focus on his preparation. He was selected for SEA Games whilst no others knowing where was he at, except himself or perhaps his coach.

With status of 2007 Asian champion, Lee Hup Wei delivered a gold medal (3rd gold for Malaysia in 2011 SEAG) after clearing a bar of 2.15m, his three consecutive gold, thus proving he still the first choice in Southeast Asia. He defeated Thailand's Pramote Poom-Urai in silver medal position (2.12m). Vietnam's Nguyen Duy Bang was given the bronze despite of had the same performance (2.08m) with a countryman Dao Van Thuy and another Malaysian Najwan Aqra.

Lee Hup Wei achieved his lifetime best jump of 2.27m in 2008 China open in Beijing which has earned him a place for the Olympic Games. He achieved the height  in two meetings (Chennai & Naimette) during the 2010 season.

200m 20.93 Franklin Ramses Burumi Completes Double at SEA Games 2011

Franklin Ramses Burumi shocked everyone on the first day of athletics competition by a strong finish to win the century dash (10.37, +2.1), but that's not enough for this 5"3 man, still hungry, and on day 3 morning he equaled his personal best (21.27) during the 200m heat. In the finals he broke the time with a sub-21 mark of 20.93s to win the 200m and completed the double - a continuation of a double victory for Indonesia since the last three SEA Games editions.

Thailand's Suppachai Chimdee whose personal best is 20.68s finished in second for silver medal, an improvement of his bronze from the last Sea Games. Bronze medal went to compatriot Sompote Suwannarangsri in a time of 21.46, a mere faster than Indonesia's Fernando Lumain (21.47) who manage to run a personal best.

The other finishers were Singapore's Lee Cheng Wei (21.60 PB), followed by two Malaysian Noor Imran A.Hadi (21.64) and Mohd Ikhwan Nor (21.72), and another Singaporean Calvin Kang Li Loong (21.95).
