Lee Hup Wei Equals National Indoor Records 2.15m at Vienna Austria

>> February 14, 2012

Less than three weeks ago, Lee Hup Wei equalled the 19-year-old Malaysian indoor record in high jump that stands at 2.15m. The record was made by Low Cwee Peng on March 03, 1993 at Toronto, Canada. Click here to read the story.

Competed at a small international athletics competition called " Wien ASVO Indoor Gala" at Wien (Vienna), the capital of Austria on February 12, 2012, the 2007 Asian champion whose PB outdoor is 2.27 won the event without any close challenge and once again repeated his highest bar at indoor competition or equalled the national indoor record, 2.15.

Second and third positions were won by Hungary's Adam Gerencser (2.05m) and local jumper Dominik Siedlaczek (1.90m).

-update-
Two days later (14.02.2012), the 5'10" from Selangor competed at Brno High Jump Meeting at Czechoslovakia but only managed to come close to the record with 2.14m, finishing in twelfth position. The event was won by Trevor Barry of Bahamas with a height of 2.30.

Those who interested in Asian Athletics Ranking 2011 (23rd year of issue) may contact the editor directly, payment can be made through various methods, price is cheap and affordable...
