note: Calvin Kang surged out of the block leading the strong field, caught by Iswandi (pb 10.41) close the mid way, but then Gary (pb 10.57) and Imran (pb 10.40) overtook him before Gary switched with his extra gear to cross the line in a lifetime best 10.44s (4th Singaporean All-Time) for gold to leave the Malaysian in silver. Calvin managed to hold on for bronze from Kannan who set a lifetime best (as well). Host sprinter Siphonexay finished last but renewed NR.

note: Kannathasan, Heru and Jesson were the favorites, but youngster Mohamad Zulhilmi surprised everyone by winning the one lap event in his lifetime best 48.16s, beating his previous best 48.33s set a month ago in Kuala Lumpur. At 300m mark, Arif has 3 metres lead, late surge by compatriot Kannathasan was too late to deny his first gold in international meet.

note: Ammar Fitri was leading after first jump 15.41 and he repeated the distance in his 4th jump and maintain his lead after all made 5th jumps. But Hakimi who has 16.15 pb leaped to the gold medal distance in his last jump (15.62). Favorite Tepparak (pb/sb 16.25) registered four fouls, his last jump just topped 15m (1.04) and didn't get medal.
