Athletics Entry Standards Olympic Games 2012

Entry standards for the Games of the Olympiad XXX in London has been released by the IAAF. In order to be entered in the Olympic Games Athletics competition, an athlete will be required to achieve the appropriate Qualification Standard in the event (s) in which he or she is entered. Qualification timeline are as below:

1) 01/01/2011: 10,000m, Marathon, Race Walk, Combined & Relay Events.
2) 01/05/2011: Start of the qualification period for all other event.
3) 02/07/2012: End of qualification period for relay teams.
4) 08/07/2012: Deadline for athletes to achieve the qualification standards.
