200m 20.93 Franklin Ramses Burumi Completes Double at SEA Games 2011

Franklin Ramses Burumi shocked everyone on the first day of athletics competition by a strong finish to win the century dash (10.37, +2.1), but that's not enough for this 5"3 man, still hungry, and on day 3 morning he equaled his personal best (21.27) during the 200m heat. In the finals he broke the time with a sub-21 mark of 20.93s to win the 200m and completed the double - a continuation of a double victory for Indonesia since the last three SEA Games editions.

Thailand's Suppachai Chimdee whose personal best is 20.68s finished in second for silver medal, an improvement of his bronze from the last Sea Games. Bronze medal went to compatriot Sompote Suwannarangsri in a time of 21.46, a mere faster than Indonesia's Fernando Lumain (21.47) who manage to run a personal best.
The other finishers were Singapore's Lee Cheng Wei (21.60 PB), followed by two Malaysian Noor Imran A.Hadi (21.64) and Mohd Ikhwan Nor (21.72), and another Singaporean Calvin Kang Li Loong (21.95).
