Rayzam Shah Runs 13.80 110mh at Regensburg

>> June 03, 2012

Malaysian hurdler Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian has registered the fastest time in his life over his pet event 110mh yesterday.

The 2007 SEA Games gold medalist ran 13.80s to finish in 4th position during Sparkssan Gala (one of major international athletics meets) in Regensburg, Germany (June 02, 2012).

However, for record purpose the time is not applicable as his race was aided by +2.7 tailwinds, and over of the allowed limit +2.0. His "legal" best remains 13.81s set in the last April Australian championships in athletics in Melbourne.

Earlier in the semifinal 2, Rayzam Shah clocked 14.10s (+1.5) and finished in third.

Germans' John Alexander (13.46), Schwarzer Helge (13.56), Balnuweit Erik (13.60) were the first three finishers in the finals.

Meanwhile, in the same meet Roslinda Samsu cleared a height of 4.00m  in women's pole vault, her season best after a below-par height in the last week's local meet at Borna where she just managed to clear 3.80m. Her attempts for 4.10m were not successful.
